environmental chamber

A chamber in which humidity, temperature, pressure, fluid contents, noise, or movement may be controlled to simulate different environments. These chambers are used to indoctrinate aircrew when demonstrating the effect of reduced pressure with altitude, as well as for experimental purposes. An environmental chamber is akin to decompression chamber, altitude chamber, and hypobaric chamber.
